Getting to Neuvry

With less carbon emission

All public transport for the area is on this map: PDF IdF Mobilités secteur Provins (68) (sadly the numbers of the regular bus lines have not been updated since they changed in august 2023)

Here is a very efficient search tool for IdF Mobilités by line, name or stop for either bus, RER/train, metro or tram par ligne. Useful for train P info for coming from Paris or local buses to get closer (look up « Jaulnes » or « Bray », or « Longueville », the closest station, for example).

Train + hitch-hiking/bus/walking/cycling : from Paris Gare de l’Est, train (TER « transport express régionnal ») line P for Provins, leaves every 47′ of the hour, Longueville stop (1h01), then:

  • we come to pick you up
  • (Mon to Sat) mini-bus service by IdF–Mobilités « transport à la demande » to Neuvry (sorry, web page not translated)
  • (Mon to Sat) bus line 3201, Place des Buttes (Bray-sur-Seine) stop and then we come to pick you up.
  • (Mon to Sat) bus line 3201, Jaulnes Boulodrome* stop (32min ride, useful departure times : 12:10, 13:55, 15:55, 16:55, 17:55), then 2,96 km walk (35min) or cycle (! tracks, 7min) to Neuvry over the « écluse de Jaulnes » (Jaulnes lock bridge) — right after the lock, then the middle track at the fork, through the woods.
  • Cycle, 11,1km (34min) via Chalmaison/Everly/Réserve Naturelle ( ! tracks, flat) or 13,6km via Chalmaison/Everly/Grand Peugny (road, flat)
  • hitch-hike towards Bray-sur-Seine, at your own risk of course!

* It’s worth a try to ask the driver if they can stop at the « Mairie » instead of the usual stop, because the bridge is just behind that and you drive past whereas the bus stop is at the end of the village, which is a bummer.

Bus : The seine-et-marne buses are not very well known but there is a decent network:

Walking/cycling/other : Think to walk or to cycle (if you are on the south side of the Seine remember you can cross on the « écluse de Jaulnes » even though Google Maps doesn’t show that option), or canoe if you’re up for that, the Seine is not far at all.

Why, you are welcome to horse-ride to ours even! (this is truly a friend’s plan for 2024)

Be brave and inventive 🙂

Car/other : classicaly and easily, Neuvry is accessible by car, we’ll leave you with your maps to find the way! We are north of Sens, south of Provins, east of Montereau-Fault-Yonne and west of Nogent-sur-Seine. There is a ULM base in Neuvry, so who knows, maybe some day someone will visit from above!

Having said this, we do encourage you to carpool if you come driving, either look for some or offer it, and/or do pick up hitch-hikers on your way if you bump into any…
